What the project needed.
CPMS was appointed to manage and coordinate the substantial external refurbishment and modernisation of an existing commercial building. The aim was to transform its dated white-and-green appearance while upgrading the external cladding, glazing, entrances and associated details.
From worksite to finished space.

Care in every detail.
We coordinated preparation of the elevations, the new cladding system and supporting structure, fire-protection detailing, Rockwool barriers around openings and an Envirograf intumescent cavity barrier around the base. New large-format Crittall-style front windows and commercial-grade glazed entrance doors were installed. Existing side windows were refurbished, with replacement seals and powder-coated aluminium cills, trims and expansion-joint details. The project also involved removing and reinstating lighting, CCTV and electrical equipment, rerouting solar-panel cabling, and coordinating scaffolding, access and specialist trades.
The challenge
Structural engineers confirmed the cladding support and fixing arrangements. CPMS coordinated Building Control and fire-safety inspections as required. The large building contained windows, doors, shutters, ventilation, electrical services, CCTV and solar-panel cables that all needed careful detailing across its elevations.
