What the project needed.
The homeowner wanted more space and light in the rear of the property. CPMS built a new side extension and integrated it with the original house and an existing rear glazed structure to create a larger open-plan kitchen, dining and living space.

The project included groundworks, foundations and drainage, blockwork, structural steelwork, roof construction and waterproofing, and an approximately four-metre rooflight. We coordinated the kitchen installation, underfloor heating, plumbing and electrical alterations, new flooring, external render, patio and finishing work.
The challenge
The new structure, existing house and glazed rear area had to function as one cohesive space. Careful sequencing of the structural work, rooflight, services and finishes delivered a bright, generous open-plan environment with significantly more usable living space.
